What a Stud

by Alise

The number one thing I keep my eye out for is statement pieces. They can transform any outfit and make it into something so unexpected and creative. My most recent investment is this daring, studded, denim vest. When you first saw it, you might of either thought it looked too much like motorcycle attire or a bit gothic. Trust me, I thought both. The thing with making your outfits your own is thinking outside of the latest trend or what would be "safe" to wear. It's okay to take risks with fashion as long as you pair things right. Having one main transformation piece at a time can multiply your wardrobe in minutes! I mixed feminine, modern, and edgy styles with my new favorite vest to exemplify different ensembles that all work with the vest uniquely!

(Forever 21 vest)
(H&M dress)
(Forever 21 skirt, H&M top)
(Material Girl dress)
(H&M pink dress, Urban Outfitters skirt, vintage bag)
(H&M skirt & shirt)
(Urban Outfitters skirt & belt, H&M top)

These are some accesories that I might mix up and pair with any of these outfits to create a more elegant or a "grungey" feel! Also, a classic black pair of combat boots would complete any of these in my opinion!
